I've had this TV for about a month and it's been great. Its a fantastic size, the sound is great, perfect HD picture, and you can see it very clearly from even wide angles (which a lot of LCDs do not do well). I read some reviews that the black contrast was not great on this set, and I have noticed that in some dimly lit scenes, but it has not been a very big noticeable problem. Overall, for the price I paid, I feel like I made an investment in a great big-screen TVGet more detail about Philips 47PFL3704D/F7 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.
