Shop For LG 50PS60 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV with THX Display Certification

I bought this TV from sears a month back, and have no issues with it till date. picture quality is nice and so is the visual appearance. Didn't have glossy screen problems or burn in issues till now. But most importantly for me it was a great deal as I was able to buy this for ~$650.
BUT, certainly check the product before you pick up your package. The first one I ordered had a big crack on the screen, but ofcourse they took it back without any issues. Second one does not have any issues till now.Get more detail about LG 50PS60 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV with THX Display Certification.

Philips 22PFL3504D/F7 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV This instant

Excellent picture quality, decent sound for its size. Auto channel programming seems a little wonky, but that may be my local cable provider's fault. Very good television for a small area, viewed from around 6 to 8 feet away. Get more detail about Philips 22PFL3504D/F7 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.

Mitsubishi WD-65737 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV Immediately

I have the Mitsubishi now for a couple of weeks and love it! I agree with most of all the great reviews posted here. I have not read all of them so if I mention something covered already, sorry. I have Directv with the HD DVR (HR 22) and after playing with the setup determined that setting the 1080p selection (via the remote control setup options on the Directv HR 22) was not enough for the optimum picture. I went to the HR 22 and physically selected the 1080i on right of the front panel. This seemed to give me the best resolution.
Also, I noticed a lot of owners complaining about the remote not being easy to use for adjustments (which can be a bit tricky).
This tip might make life a little easier. On the very bottom right of the remote control is a "more" button. This brings up a sub-menu that quickly lets you make adjustments for the picture, audio and even the picture mode (Wide-Normal-Zoom), that I could not find in the regular menu options.
Final verdict:
The 65 inch set is a bargain and performs beautifully. No regrets, just great enjoyment.
Now I have to buy a Bluray player!!Get more detail about Mitsubishi WD-65737 65-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV.

Pegasus ST09 9-Inch LCD HDTV with ATSC Tuner, Gray Best Quality

I purchased this TV and I find it to be a good product. My problem is that it does not include a car jack to play in the car or to charge if you are traveling with it.

I purposely bought it for emergency purposes. It does not tell you how long the battery charge lasts.

Can anyone tell me how long the battery stays charged?

This TV is a disappointment all the way around. Not worth the price, even on sale. Sound quality is minimal, you have to turn the volume way up to even hear it at all, not compatible with basic DVR functions, takes two or three tries to get it to even turn on, has trouble reading HDMI signal and cuts out regularly. Samsung PN50B560 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV Decide Now

Amazing Plasma TV, I got it off an Amazon 3rd party company that had this item on sale. I first thought the deal was too good to be true, and I still can't believe how great this TV is even when it is right in front of me. The color of this TV is perfect right out of the box. I didn't have to do anything, and it looked amazing with DVD, 720p and 1080p Blu-Ray. I spend a good two month deciding which one I should buy Lcd/Plasma/size/price ratio after my Sony Trinitron dead after 15 yrs of service . I thought the Panasonic X1 720p or the S1 1080p were good enough, until I got on this deal, still a good $250+ off Amazon's price.

I know about the story over the buzzing sound of the panel. So when I turn on the first time, I heard a buzzing sound, and I was like " ooh crap" but then soon afterward I realized the TV went straight to my home theater system as I was scanning for channels, the buzz I heard likely came from the noise of having no channels. After I got my channels, no more buzz. And everything worked out perfect.

The unit is on the heavier side, but what can you expect, its Big, 99lb for with the box, 85 with the stand on. The stand allows 100+ degree of swivel, not sure the exact degree, but I didn't see it on the Manual, I know the Samsung 650 stand can swivel. But I don't need the internet TV thingy, my HTPC can do all of that and better. All and all even if you don't get the discount over this TV set, this is one amazing set to have. Sony Bravia XBR KDL-55XBR8 55-Inch 1080p 120Hz Triluminos LED LCD HDTV Right now

I got a chance to see this TV at the Sony store. It was isolated by itself, maybe because it is last years model, or maybe because if they placed it directly next to other screens, it's faults become clear, or rather... blurry.

When watching fairly static images, the color depth and richness seems to be sharp (pictures of flowers and whales, looked good as long as they were static images). I heard of motion blur problems and asked to see something with quicker moving images. After thinking I was seeing blur, but not sure if it was the TV, or the source media, we found something with scrolling text and the blur became evident. The Sony sales rep played with the menus and various settings/modes for what seemed to be forever, but the results never changed. The blur was always present with quicker moving images.

Unfortunately, it seems Sony has thrown in the towel after experimenting on this first generation LED LCD TV, and gone back to CCFL for backlighting. I got to see the LG 55LH90 in action, and it looked sharper then the KDL-55XBR8, and saw no motion blur. NOTE: I did not see the two side by side.

Compare the price of the LG 55LH90 to the KDL-55XBR8, (even if the price was $2,500), the KDL-55XBR8 would still cost more, and offer poorer picture quality.

Lowest Price Sharp Aquos LC42D65U 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

We got this earlier this year, and have been very pleased with it! It has clear picture and is great to watch. We don't really use the volume on it as we have a speaker system, the sound is ok though without it. Amazon even set it up in my living room for me with the white glove delivery. One thing to note, if you turn on the light auto adujst it may interfere with your cable remote operation. We had swapped out 3 cable boxes to realize it was a setting on the TV that was sending out a signal that made the remote not work.Get more detail about Sharp Aquos LC42D65U 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

Buying Philips 47PFL3704D/F7 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

I've had this TV for about a month and it's been great. Its a fantastic size, the sound is great, perfect HD picture, and you can see it very clearly from even wide angles (which a lot of LCDs do not do well). I read some reviews that the black contrast was not great on this set, and I have noticed that in some dimly lit scenes, but it has not been a very big noticeable problem. Overall, for the price I paid, I feel like I made an investment in a great big-screen TVGet more detail about Philips 47PFL3704D/F7 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

Buy LG 55LH90 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED Backlit LCD HDTV, Glossy Black/Infused Blue

Consumer Reports (CR) gave the LG-55LH90 its highest rating for 52 -and 55-inch sets, in the Dec 2009 reports. So it's the TV we were looking for. What I'm troubled about is the price listed here on Amazon. CR lists the normal price as $2400. So this big Amazon sale ($2399.98) is a savings of 2-cents. What kind of sale is that?

FYI: For those interested in this TV itself, here are the rating from CR:
Total bar score: 77
High Definition: full red ball
Standard definition: top half red ball
Viewing Angle: top half red ball
Sound quality: top half red ball
Remote: full red ball
Onscreen menu: top half red ball
Versatility: full red ball
HDMI: 4
Component-video: 2
Energy cost (per year) $58
Highest frame rate: "240"
LED backlight: full

Further note: Toshiba Regza 55ZV650U received the CR best buy rating, which is offered as the best combination of performance and price.

Just to be clear. My 3-star rating has nothing to do with the functionality of the TV itself. CR felt it was a great TV, I'm not disputing that. My low rating was ONLY for the price (2-cent sale).Get more detail about LG 55LH90 55-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED Backlit LCD HDTV, Glossy Black/Infused Blue.

Purchase Samsung LN22A450 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black

Wow, what a lousy experience with Samsung. I can't say I would ever buy another product from them: The television stopped working after 90 days. Bad backlight. No picture. They took responsibility (1 year warranty) and gave me a shipping label to send it back, to their credit. I packaged it up very carefully in their original box, including all of the original plastic protective bags styrofoam. The box was in new condition.

It took 3 weeks from the time I sent it back until the time it was returned. Not sure if it's fixed, because I haven't even plugged it in yet - the first thing that I noticed when removing it from the now super beat up box? The entire front of this new shiny black plastic TV now has thousands of tiny scratches all over it. Nightmare consumer experience- cheap electronics break quickly, repairs done slowly, product comes back worse than when it left. Totally dissatisfied.Get more detail about Samsung LN22A450 22-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black.

Order Toshiba 37RV525R 37-inch 1080p LCD HDTV

So I helped my friend shop for a 37 inch tv for the living room and this was without doubt the best for the money. It's blacks were right up there with the Samsung, was a little better than the Panny and Sony, and was much better than the LG. It's got a matte screen, so the reflections aren't to bad. There is no clouding or flashlight issues that you have with the Sony and Samsung. Color accuracy is a little off but luckily the picture menu allows you to correct it. HD viewing is excellent with 1080P. The audio is also very very good, except you get a little vibration with certain dialog with the bass turned all the way up. The remote is excellent and is very user friendly. The menu system is very simple and easy to use. I ran an HD calibration disc and came up with these settings. You can adjust the backlight and contrast to your liking, but don't change the brightness setting or it will throw the blacks off.

Sharp LC52E77U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black

About whoever compared this tv to a Samsung. I had a A750 model. I can say that the picture on this tv is better. The regular channels look better because the people look more in proportion and not pulled out looking. This tv has more picture adjustment controls than any tv I have ever seen. I don't find them confusing. I think they are fun. Anyway I was able to buy this for under 1300 new. I would be paying close to 2000 or maybe more for a Samsung. The price difference is a big difference. I believe this is the Best lcd that Sharp has made thus far. It comes with a 15 month warranty as well. No complaints. Sylvania LC195SLX 19-Inch Flat Panel LCD HDTV, Black Immediately

Nice little TV.
You take it out of the box, attach the base (3 screws), put the included batteries in the remote, hook up the cable, plug it in, hit power, answer a few questions and it starts to automatically scan for channels which takes 10 minutes or so.
Voila, you're watching and listening to TV. If you get a HD signal, they come in fine. For that you'd enter 5 for standard def. channel 5 and 5-1 for the HD channel 5. Easy.
The audio is, well, it's not great but it does allow you to plug in speakers or an AVR if you like. There are also 2 HDMI, component, and compositite video connections.
Again, nice little TV for $150. If you want to spend more I'm sure you can get more features but how many features do you want in a 19" TV?Get more detail about Sylvania LC195SLX 19-Inch Flat Panel LCD HDTV, Black.

Toshiba REGZA 52XV645U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black Best Quality

I'd had misgivings about purchasing such a product online, but some friends had done so with no problems, so I decided to try it. The TV arrived in great shape! The delivery service unpacked it and put it into the entertainment center. I had to hook the cable box, DVD player, games up, but that was no problem. The picture is fantastic! I sometimes felt like I was standing on the side lines watching the opening weekend of college football.

I have to wonder why people let big box stores like Best Buy charge them to deliver and set up their TVs. It really is pretty simple. The Amazon price was $200 to $300 less than any of the local stores that I used to evaluate the various sets and prices, and there were no shipping charges.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with both the choice of the Toshiba TV and the decision to purchase it from Amazon.Toshiba REGZA 52XV645U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, BlackGet more detail about Toshiba REGZA 52XV645U 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player Get it now!

I currently work for a clinic. My doctor purchased this TV on December 08, and we had a HUGE problem with the DVD player right now barely a year after purchasing it.

My boss wanted to be budget-friendly a little bit, so he thought this TV was well-bargained for under $600 with a DVD player attached. On top of that, we play DVDs only for the patients. (no cable or even satellite antennas) Little did he know, this DVD player was NOT built for marathon DVD playing AT ALL. It is loud just like everyone had suggested here in the review board. It takes some time to recognize the DVDs and eject them as well. If you play DVDs in our way (roughly 5 times a week, at least 8 hours of non-stop play time, you will come to the point where it does not eject the DVD anymore. Unable to eject the disc, the DVD player will re-insert the disc automatically and assume you want to play the disc again... A HUGE headache for all the office staffs and few of our long-term patients, who suffered from over-dosage of Planet Earth (you can Q&A me on ANY FRAME, I kid you not, within the episodes of "From Pole to Pole," "Mountains," and "Fresh Water" and I can tell you exactly what's going on there... matching the music theme on the back, and mimicking David Attenborough's narration at the same time...).

Another negative aspect is the viewing angle range of the screen. off-angles are pretty-dark... our patients ended up cluttering in the middle of the room to watch the TV, quite amusing but very inconvenient for all of them. Perhaps it would be better for a bedroom TV.

I have read the entire manual and found NONE of the troubleshoot problems are related to the DVD player, which is how they hide their little secrets of this incompetent freebie. We are facing a potential charge of more than 200 dollars to fix this little thing. It could have been more budget-friendly if we purchase these two separately. So be aware of these TV w/ DVD players!!Get more detail about LG 32LG40 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with Built-in DVD Player.

Eviant T7-02 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV, Red Right now

The bad news...
I was happy to get this cute little TV and when I first received it, I charged it and then tried to get the channels in and only got a couple of Channels....a little disappointed.

The GOOD NEWS... However, I always say, when all else fails "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS". Well needless to say, that is EXACTLY what was needed to be done, plus I needed to put on the other supplied antenna on the TV and rescanned for TV stations. I couldn't believe it, as I got 40+ stations...not all in English though. I got most of the standard stations, the picture is beautiful and the sound is good for price & size of this cute little TV. I wanted this TV mainly for travel plus camping trips. I have not had a chance to use it for travel yet, but am hopeful that it will work fairly well. I had read somewhere that it had removable batteries and that seems to be incorrect. I was hoping to use removable batteries so I could use rechargable batteries in the TV.

Summary....The most important thing about using this TV is to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and use the other supplied antenna as that is all I needed to do in order to get 40+ channels with excellent picture/sound. I could not expect this little TV to do much better.

Give this Great Little TV a chance & read the instructions to make sure you are setting it up properly....you may be pleasantly surprised like I was. :)Get more detail about Eviant T7-02 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV, Red.

Lowest Price Samsung PN63B590 63-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV

The picture is AMAZING when watching HDTV channels. It's VERY thin for a plasma and very easy to set up. Great sound for these types of TVs even. It's actually a larger screen than the one I'm replacing it with (63" vs. 61"), but it looks smaller to my wife, which wins me wife points and got me a slightly bigger TV at the same time. :)

I did a lot of research into this purchase before making it and I think it's the best TV in this size range(although there are some other very good ones). I'm definitely happy to see that the picture is excellent in my home even in bright light conditions as my living room has a lot of windows.

While LCD/LED technology is coming along, I think plasmas are much better in both quality and price at this size still.

I really just can't believe how great the picture is. I was upgrading from a pretty good 3 year old TV and this blows it away.

BTW, the primary reason I got the 590 instead of the 550 is because it supposedly has a better anti-glare filter than the 550. I'm not sure the difference is really noticeable or not, but it does well in my bright room. It has a couple of other features the 550 doesn't (e.g. cinema smooth, 1080p/24), but those (at least currently) weren't a big factor in my decision.

Low Price LG 42SL80 42-Inch Seamless 240Hz 1080p LCD HDTV, Glass/Black

I've only had my set a couple of days. It arrived on time. I like the picture and the sound.I have a few problems with it but am hoping most of them will be resolved soon.
One big problem for me is that there is no analog audio output, only an Optical, which I had never heard of before. I'm a senior and depend on my wireless headphones and have only found out by trial and error that I will have to get optical headphones or an adapter for optical to analog. When I e-mailed the LG company, I was told it was in the specifications. There are several pages in Amazon'n description and maybe it is there but it must be pretty well hidden. In a 1100$ plus machine one would not expect the absence of such a basic feature. One would at least expect a warning that it is not there.
The channels don't change as quickly as they did on my old RCA
The on screen menus are somewhat complicated and difficult but I guess they will be easier with experience.
I hate having only a CD manual but the company has agreed to send me a printed one I'm hoping I made the right decision in buying this set and may write another report later after using it longer.

I just hooked up this set and am thoroughly impressed. How can you beat this for the money? What do people look for in any TV set? Picture quality! Look no further folks - the picture quality is absolutely superb (no dead pixels). Why would anyone want to pay more for a Samsung or Sony? They undoubtedly make very good 65" sets. Has a good picture and more features then anything I was able to find at any price, and this was just a little over 200 bucks.First of all the 2 things that is not at par for me is that its so new my cable remote don't have the code for it so I have to use the remote that came with it for volume. Plus the remote don't work unless your under 10 feet from the set.
I have it in my garage so the dvd works great for plans that I buy on dvd and the usb slot is great for pictures or other info as is the camera card slot. Buying Sharp LC40E77U 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV

We had the Sharp Aquos LC42D85U and it is a beautiful set. One warning however: after working with Sharp for 2 months to get the D85U running right we found that the advanced signal processing electronics can easily result in lip synch problems if you are getting your signal from an over the air antenna. Sharp wasn't able to fix this problem with software updates but did replace this set with a new LC40E77UN that shows no lip synch problems. If you have cable the D85U will make you happy, otherwise look at the E77UN; it is the set for you. Get more detail about Sharp LC40E77U 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV.

Buy Samsung LN55B650 55-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color

I'm surprised that more people aren't buying this set, or at least reviewing it (which typically is indicative of sales). Really with this set there are only two things that may bother your run-of-the-mill average TV watcher, and that is 1. Glare, 2. Flashlighting/clouding (backlight shining through).
On 1 I can honestly say the glare doesn't bother me at all. Some people may not be able to deal with it because they are picky and/or have a really bright room this TV is going into, but that is not an issue to me. Just personal opinion. I would never let that be a factor to me unless it truly bothered me, and it truly does not with this set.

On 2 I can say that I did have some initial problems with clouding and it being visible. I used settings posted on Cnet for this TV. They are kind of dark, but you get used to it. This prevents clouding from being as noticeable, but some backlight will bleed through, and it's especially apparent on large TVs. How apparent is it? I am very picky and although I can notice it on a completely pitch black screen, it really doesn't bother me that much during normal TV watching. I have my backlight set at 3 (out of 10), standard mode leaves it at 8. This is way too bright and you will most definitely see some bleed through.

There are a few recommended fixes if you have clouding that is poor around the edges. Wiping the entire TV side to side and up and down with a microfiber cloth has worked in limited cases, as well as loosening a few bezel screws along the TVs edge to loosen the pressure and keep the backlight from shining through as brightly. Also limited success stories on this method and I even tried it with no such luck. Changing my settings was the action that gave me the best result. Photographs have proven even TVs that appear as if they have no apparent clouding to the naked eye actually do have clouding, so don't stare at your TV for hours looking for this imperfection, simply find a setting that seems to remove it upon a glance at the TV and move on.

Some other cons to point out that you may or may not know about and/or normally wouldn't think they will bother you but might actually. The off angle viewing of this TV is not good. You will see the TVs contrast change dramatically even moving your head 2 feet from the center of the TV sitting 10' away. How big of a deal is that to you? Depends. Some experts have said that this TV is best for one-person and adding multiple people with different viewing angles renders this set to not be preferred. Do I believe that? Not really. I think for most families sitting an appropriate distance from this set probably won't be too irritated at the slight off angle viewing issues. However, it is noticeable and the best angle by far is directly in front of the set. Keep this in mind--maybe check it out in action at the store first if you are buying this set for a family.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the TV has an included rope you screw into the back of the TV and tie off on a screw in the wall. Very silly design and completely retarded to put on and even easy to look over when you purchase the set. But guess what? Use it. This TV is top heavy like mad and easily could tip over. I've also heard some complaints on the PIP and remote and audio as well on this TV, but I don't use any of them so I won't comment. I also don't play games so I won't comment there, although I hook my computer up and it looks just fine.
People like to hear potential negatives in reviews more than positives I think, so there is my list. I consider myself pretty picky but overall I think this TV is an excellent buy at a sub-$2,000 price point. If you can afford a $5,000 LED LCD with the latest technology, why are you even considering this set? While the PQ might be comparable to more expensive TVs (truly this TV looks that good), lesser auxiliary issues like tying a rope to a wall to keep the TV from falling shouldn't even be something you should care about. PQ is great from cable to blu-ray to PC on this set and I really don't think you're going to be disappointed if you purchase and this is your price range (or a little above).

Another big debate is whether or not to go with the 52B750 with a higher refresh rate. The truth is that your eyes will never tell a difference between the two refresh rates. I have read that there are lesser cases of backlight bleeding with the 52", but that's probably partly due to the fact that the 52" is 3" less in size. I'm still in the return period and I could get the 52" if I wanted, but I simply think that's not the best buy. This TV is.

Lastly I will point out that the LCD panel used in this particular set is a CMO Panel and not a Samsung panel. Approximately 60% of Samsung's don't use Samsung panels, so don't worry that you aren't getting an authentic Samsung; it is pretty common. The CMO panel a lot of experts complain about, but they also complain about the S-PVA panel used in the 46" version of the B650 or the 52" version in the B750. The difference between the two is negligible to the everyday user, not to mention side-by-side the two panels are almost identical in specs. If you've heard about this before and it's concerned you, or if you are hearing it now for the first time, consider it extra information and nothing else that should sway your opinion on purchasing this set. Lastly I will say that if you are someone who thinks 42" or 46" is fine, just buy this TV. The price difference is insignificant and very rarely have I ever heard of someone buying a bigger TV than what they wanted and complained about it later. My dad likes to complain it's too big, but that's because his TV is best for viewing under a microscope and he's not used to watching things bigger. Bigger is better. Overall I give this TV a solid A.

Purchase Mitsubishi WD-60737 60-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV

I bought this TV to go into the basement that I renovated in my house. I wanted a theather size picture to go into the movie screening room. This TV is amazing. It is rich in color with blacks and whites that are thick and rich which makes all the other colors pop off the screen. HD and blu-ray viewing are great, it's like looking out the window.

It's so light weight for it's size. Me and my 16 year old daughter brought it from the garage into the basement.

The sound however is not that good only 10w speakers, so an audio reciever and speakers are necessary for theather quality sound.

The remote works and does it's job, but could have been better (the buttons are small and confusing).

They advertise the 3D aspect of the TV, but failed to to tell you that you need a high spec computer and expensive 3D glasses to use it.

Even with the above cons I have to say I am very pleased with this purchase. Movie nights and watching the big games are events at my home now for my family and I.

I have heard people say bulbs are expensive for TV's like this and they are, but not for this TV. I went out and ordered a backup bulb from Mitsubishi's web site and only paid $98.00 + tax. Hopefully I wont need it for a long time.

Order LG 47LH90 47-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED Backlit LCD HDTV, Glossy Black/Infused Blue

LG has a serious audio/video synchronization problem with this TV. We bought this TV at a local big box store. We loved the picture. But...the TV is not properly decoding ATSC signals (OTA HD) when encoded as Dolby DTS with 720p video. The audio lags the video, and the video is choppy and then fast forwards to catch up. LG customer service is TERRIBLE. The telephone support is staffed by folks who are challenged by the english language and although the internet chat support is polite and courteous, they are unable to tell us when (if at all) a fix will be availble. This is the last LG product we will buy. Stick with Samsung or Sony, we have purchased many Samsung and Sony products and have never been dissapointed like this.Get more detail about LG 47LH90 47-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED Backlit LCD HDTV, Glossy Black/Infused Blue.

Where To Buy Sony KDL-46W5150 46" BRAVIA® W-Series 1080p LCD HDTV with 120Hz refresh rate

I purchased the Sony 46W5150 when I saw that the price was actually less than the 46V5100. I am so glad that I did since the price went up to more the next day. I received the TV via a freight shipment. The set was in perfect condition when it arrived.

The w5150 is the same as the w5100 except it has a longer warranty (18mth vs 12mth). The picture is fantastic with inky blacks and excellent color. The Internet enabled features are a bonus. The biggest thing I was looking forward too for the Internet enabled set is the Netflix on demand, however, it is not available until sometime in November 09. I was happy to find that the TV will pull video from my media server; this saves me from having to turn on the PS3 to get to my stored media. I haven't tried to use the USB port for MP3s or Pictures since I have been able to use the Media server.

I love the look of the TV... it looks great on the wall with a very narrow bezel. The screen itself is not quite matte, but it isn't anywhere near as shiny as the Samsungs and some of the other LCDs out there.

Picture quality is excellent. Sony does a great job with their MotionPlus compared to some of the other sets I was looking at. The Sony option has a much more natural feel too and enhances the picture rather than making it look like video.

The sound quality is pretty good (especially for hidden speakers) as long as you don't turn on the SForce surround option. That seemed to really distort the sound quality.

Set up was a breeze. The TV set up my wired internet connection automatically and found the media server on its own. Since the set is internet enabled I was able to download the newest firmware and have that installed without having to call Sony etc.

Overall, this was an awesome purchase. The picture quality is a little bit better than the v5100 series and you get the longer warranty and Internet features. I highly recommend this set.

Shop For Samsung PN50A450 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

This TV has a good picture, but it's a little dim even with the settings turned up, and there's always that fear of burn-in. I had a logo stuck in the bottom corner for a couple days and it made me wish I'd bought an LCD. It eventually went away, but now I have to keep my settings turned down and I have to constantly worry about what I'm watching. If you have the money, buy a good LCD. Toshiba 19LV611U 19-Inch 720p LCD TV with Built in DVD Player, White Review

The tv is surprisingly light! Easy to lift and move. Easy to set up and use! The clarity is great even though it is 720 not 1080...very good picture quality!! I did have to measure the screen as it didn't seem big enough to be a 19"! This is because it is for widescreen format? Anyway it is 19". We love the tv. Great price on a tv I would buy again if we had the choice again. Would say go for it, you won't find a better picture anywhere. The white set is a wonderful add in for the room, which has light color theme.
Sound does not go high enough for use in a larger room, but perfect for a small room where you are close to the set. We use in a guest bedroom and will go in there to catch a special show or watch a video when the main larger tv is in use for something else.
